Dental implants. A missing tooth will lead to jaw bone loss. For persons missing a single tooth or multiple teeth, dental implants provide a long-term, permanent option to replace it or them. Full mouth rehabilitation is also an option, for persons who no longer have teeth or whose remaining teeth are no longer viable. Please make an appointment to speak with Dr. Stewart about implant supported dentures.
Dr. Stewart is a board certified oral surgeon, and can therefore offer intravenous sedation for all procedures. Expose and bond procedures. Sometimes teeth need surgical help to erupt on time; typically, the upper canines. An orthodontist or general dentist would diagnose the need for this procedure.
Oral pathology. A lesion, cyst, or unhealthy area of the oral cavity is usually noticed by your dentist or hygienist during a regular cleaning and oral examination. However, it is possible that you could become aware of something during your daily routine. Sometimes these irregularities will require a biopsy, which Dr. Stewart can perform. Other times they will only need periodic monitoring.
Our practice utilizes the latest, state-of-the-art equipment including procedure rooms equipped with monitors normally found in hospital operating rooms. Dr. Stewart is a board certified oral surgeon and performs all procedures in-office.
The Gendex GXDP-700 can provide a panoramic as well as a 3D radiographic image of your jaw. We only use digital radiography, lowering radiation exposure by 90%. We believe in the A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) Principle for minimizing radiation doses, for our patients’ overall safety.
